TEK Systems Consultant

Brought in to update and manage the Western Union Website top 5 enterprise initiatives to initiate new money transfer services through Prepaid, Gold Card, Moneywise and goCash products.  Successfully launched a major new Prepaid, Gold Card and Moneywisewebsite used to transfer money anywhere around the world resulting in substantial additional revenue for the company and commendations from Executives.  This included updating interfaces into major core money transfer systems from a Java front-end system utilizing a SOA Web Services methodology.

DISH Network L.L.C (Nasdaq: DISH), is the nation's second largest pay-TV provider and the leader in digital television with $11 billion in revenue.


TEK Systems Consultant (Contract to hire.  Hired 4/07).

Managed, organized and led large Data Warehouse initiatives to provide mission-critical information to the business.  Identified and prioritized more that 175 major project of 120 hours or more upon arrival. Project delivery metrics went from 47% on-time project delivery to 96% on-time delivery in two years. Personally managed multiple large scale projects using Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata systems for company-wide Business Intelligence, Analytics and reporting systems. Worked directly with C-level executives on many high priority projects including:

  • Call Center & Direct Sales Business Intelligence

  • Fraud Analysis

  • Subscriber Bad Debt Analysis

  • $1 billion Partner Billing System implementation to interchange billing information between major partners


ARI Network Services, Inc., Colorado Springs, CO                                                     2006 to 2007

ARI Network Services (Nasdaq:  ARIS) One of the largest providers of motorcycle and outdoor power equipment parts & service information with over 30,000 customers worldwide.



Leadership role in a Process Improvement Team appointed by the CEO to improve software product quality, customer service, and help reduce costs.

Resolved long-standing technical issues that resulted in multiple product quality issues and substantially improved process reliability and quality.

As the Manager of Data Resources, strategies were developed for the implementation of cost reduction measures based on improved processes and outsourcing models that were developed. Operational responsibilities included on-time delivery of data to customers and management of a Microsoft SQL Server Data Warehouse for parts & service information from more than 80 original equipment manufacturers from around the world. Operational, technical, and process quality issues were addressed to improve customer satisfaction from software and process deficiencies. Managed 14 employees including five Software Engineers, one Project Manager, two Quality Assurance Specialists and seven data-entry personnel.

Information Technology Services were provided to multiple clients including government entities such as the U.S. Government Printing Office and commercial firms like Colorado Aviation and Transportation, Inc. As a Policy and Technical Advisor to the Public Printer of the United States and the Superintendent of Documents, policy and technological guidance was provided for developing the Future Digital Systems (FDSys) that would be used by the federal government for delivering public documents to U.S. Citizens and public/academic library institutions in the United States.

Developed vision document driving public policy, governance, and technical strategy in conjunction with some of the most prestigious institutions in the United States for the Federal Depository Library Program.
